Washington, Nov 21 (ANI): Hollywood actress Jennifer Garner has
been granted permanent restraining order against her alleged
stalker, ordering him to stay away from her family for the next
three years.
The Alias star was granted a temporary
restraining order against Steven Burky earlier this month on Nov
7 by the Los Angeles Superior Court.
Under the permanent order, Burky must also stay 100 yards (300
feet/91 metres) from the actress, husband Ben Affleck, their
daughter Violet, the couple’’s nanny, housekeeper and others,
reports Contactmusic.
In the court papers seeking permanent restraining order, the
36-year-old actress said, Mr Burky has been stalking and
harassing me,” sending “packages and letters containing
delusional and paranoid thoughts and following me around the
country… his obsessive and harassing behaviour has escalated to
the point of becoming dangerous and threatening”.
Burky has been stalking the Alias star, since 2002 when he posed
as a college student and then a punk rocker to meet her at a
college in Ohio and record store in Los Angeles.
He used to send her creepy love letters, knocked on the door of
her L.A. home and travelled to her film sets. (ANI)
